Youth at Risk has a strong, simple belief. All young people can have a worthwhile future.

We want to lock them up and throw away the key. We want the problem to go away and stay away. But it never does

Sometimes it's hard to share this belief. When young people behave anti-socially, misuse drugs & alcohol, act aggressively, vandalise property, commit crimes and disrupt neighbourhoods we have a natural reaction.

We believe there is a better way to deal with the most difficult & damaged young people in our society. A way that enables them to bring about a fundamental and lasting change to the way they view and live their lives
