In 2001 Youth at Risk's work was observed and assessed by Ofsted as part of the DfES Youth Work Grants assessment process. All of the training sessions observed were rated as good or very good, and in its main findings Ofsted state:

"Youth at Risk has a strong philosophy and set of aims that are very relevant to the national agenda to promote social inclusion; Youth at Risk successfully promotes young people's self-esteem and supports them in bringing about change in their lifestyle and relationships"
