“A number of students from year 10 started Coaching for Success in September. We targeted those who were at risk of exclusion either as a result of poor behaviour in school or because they were making the wrong choices about how to interact with other students and staff.
The programme was very intensive and challenged the students throughout but the vast majority of those who started have made considerable progress in school.
This has been seen clearly in the decline in the number of incidents recorded but also in the mature and responsible attitude that they now display on a daily basis. They and their performance coaches have worked tirelessly and it has contributed to a significant change in the attitudes of students who were becoming disaffected with education.
We have been impressed and delighted with the programme and are extremely keen to continue with our involvement.”
